Wesley Stace’s Cabinet of Wonders is a one-of-a-kind variety show blending music, literature, comedy, and performance into an unforgettable night of entertainment. You’ll laugh, think, and sing along—sometimes all at once. Part vaudeville, part literary salon, and all rock ‘n’ roll, you never know what surprise lies behind the next curtain.
Praised as:
“One of the finest nights of entertainment this city has to offer.” – The New Yorker
“Inspired silliness… the audience roared in delight.” – The Wall Street Journal
“Another fantastic hybrid creation.” – Time Out New York
“A brilliant evening of laid-back fun.” – The Village Voice
“A deeply transcendent experience.” – Magnet
Since its debut in 2009, Cabinet of Wonders has become a staple in New York’s live arts scene and toured nationally, featuring both celebrated and emerging voices in music, literature, and comedy. Curated by acclaimed artist and author Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding), each show is a carefully crafted collaboration, blending spontaneity and curation into a magical experience—six of which have aired on NPR.
Aundroma Projects has worked with Stace to Develop his show for television.  its genre-defying format and warm, communal spirit, it’s perfectly suited for a new era of media—connecting audiences at home with the same unpredictable magic that’s lit up stages across the country and around the world.
Wesley Stace, also a professor of English Literature at Swarthmore College, brings together artists in ways that spark dialogue, creativity, and joy. The TV adaptation will expand the Cabinet’s reach, turning living rooms into front rows and sparking a broader cultural conversation.
